We came across many guitars (especially modded) with strange compositions of pickups. Usually these combinations were created out the need to be versatile.
Today’s standard triple single coil is composed out of 3 consistent parts (in their soundscape) so we would end up with an homogeneous set of pickups. However, in many cases we find this configurations limiting, especially for musicians that are actually looking for diversity in their instrument for all kinds of different scenarios.
This need gave birth to the RPS, a model that enables the player a lot more versatility with a unique soundscape in every pickup mode. yet, it is balanced (in volume between modes) and possibly the best choice for players that have only one guitar or use a main guitar for most of the time.
