Coming up with an elegant solution to the Retrofit (Humbucker sized P-90 Pickup) problematic design was no walk in the park. There are major technical issues when trying to fit a P-90 into a humbucker size box.

After a long process of trial and error, we came up with an elegant, clean and professional design. This pickup has everything, the high dynamics and broad EQ range of a single coil, and the deep and warm qualities of an humbucker.

The Recoil comes in two version (II and V), the difference between them is only the magnet type. Recoil II is more round and subtle, clean and very expressive. Recoil V is sharper and will cut right through the mix, higher in volume, with a sweet crunch.

    RW/RP preduces a hum-canceling effect in a combination of two pickups, but reduces mid-range frequencies.

    Wax Potting is done to prevent microphonic feedback. Unpotted pickup may produce feedback but have vintage like qualities and a brighter tone.

Compatible with other Coils Boutique Humbucker or P-90 Retrofit pickup models.
