The Musket is a top level artisan instrument crafted and sculpted 100 percent by hand. The essence of Musket is simplicity, despite its seemingly complex design. It produces a sweet and warm sound with high clarity and resonance. This instrument aimed to be less “twangy” than the usual lap steel and has a soothing, hot tone.
With a 3-handle control system the Musket gives the player more control over the instrument and the ability to switch between major and minor scales, in a manageable and simple method.

The Body:

The design of this instrument was mind gripping. I used Maple and Walnut and combined multiple design methods I picked up along the way like the hidden jack input and the use of Walnut that was glued at the “wing” of the electronics to create the rifle shaped body (therefore it’s called Musket).

The Pickup:

As you can see, there is almost no tonal control! One pickup, one volume knob and one tone knob. The chosen pickup was the Caramel humbucker, in order to shape a clear sound that will enable the player maximum expression.

The Bridge:

is Dusenberg Multibender. We’ve decided to install 3 tuning levers instead of the usual 2, for faster and easier major-minor changes or any other tonal change.
