The “Cross-Town” humbucker has a warm tone, rich mid-range and an awesome howl, it is slightly compressed with a unique 70’s essence. and performs extremely well when combined with any drive.

In Coils Boutique we cherish clarity but not when it bites off pieces your soundscape and we usually treat muddiness as a problem, but it can be used as an advantage if done correctly!

We Tried to walk this thin line of balance between these two variables and went for depth and power, with no painful frequencies, but a wonderful grainy tone that is ideal for genres such as Jazz on one hand, and great with drive in genres like classic and heavy rock on the other.

    Spacing is the distance between the middle of the first and sixth string at the bridge.

    Wax Potting is done to prevent microphonic feedback. Unpotted pickup may produce feedback but have vintage like qualities and a brighter tone.
